Furniture construction

Illustrative upholstery furniture structure:

Functions

Depending on the system our furniture has variousfunctions: several solutions of sleeping function, various containers for bedding (e.g. in the form of drawer or open up), height-adjustable and angle-adjustable headrests, tilt-adjustable partsof backrest to get a comfortable headrest, angle-adjustable side parts, TV-chair with adjustable backrest and pull-out footrest (muscle strength or electrical control).

Frame

The main elements of the furniture construction that carrying the highest burden are made of coniferous and deciduous timber. The rest of the frame is related to wood products (chipboard, hardboard, plywood, MDF, etc.).

Back

Construction of the back is not the same for each model. The first furniture group are models where the base resilient layer of the back is made from elastic beltsmounted directly on the frame. The second layer is highly elastic polyurethane foam. In the second group of models chipboard covered with polypropylene fabric is mounted on the frame made of coniferous timber. In this case loose cushions filled with shredded polyurethane foam are resilient layer. Moving headrests found in several of our models are filled with polyurethane foam.

Seat

Design solutions of our models seats can be divided into several types. The first one is the bonell form that together with polyurethane foam are supported by corrugated springs. The second type is the PUR foam or loose cushions filled with solid polyurethane foam supported by corrugated springs. The third typeconsists of cushions filled with solid polyurethane foam. Cushions are mounted on the seat frame that is covered with MDF.

Sleeping part

Here, too, depending on the system there are used several solutions. Referring to mechanisms that are put forward and then lifted up the main solution is chipboard that bears the PUR foam. In immovable parts on the chipboard there is placed fixed cushion filled with PUR foam or bonell form with polyurethane foam. Referring to mechanisms put forward to the front for the lengh of lying the supporting layer is headrest board and the lid board of inside storage box both made of chipboard and seat frame covered with MDF; a resilient layer is made from cushions filled with polyurethane foam. In systems where the backrest of the furniture after the position is part of sleeping area in the frame of the back and seat there are put the bonell form along with PUR foam. Folding metal mechanisms have a mattress made of polyurethane foam. Flexible layer is made of plywood slats.

Container for bedding

The body of bed box is made mostly of laminated chipboard, bottom of lacquered hardboard. Boxes of cheaper models are made of MDF and the bottom of ordinary hardboard.

Feet

Metal chrome-plated feet in a few patterns, wooden of different shapes in four dyeing, and also plastic feet and swivel castors to move furniture in easy way (e.g. TV-chairs).
